Andrea Marks guides next phase of university operational integration

January 29, 2026

Effective Jan. 1, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Andrea Marks assumed expanded leadership responsibility for operations across the university. In this role, she continues to lead operations for the health campus while also overseeing Business Affairs for the academic campuses, bringing together core administrative and operational functions under a more unified structure.

Operations encompasses a broad range of essential functions that support the daily operations and long-term sustainability of the university, including Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Business and Administrative services, Facilities, Campus Services, Real Estate, Compliance and Public Safety, among others. Together, these teams provide the operational backbone that enables our academic, research, clinical and community missions to thrive.

As shared last spring, Marks’ expanded leadership is designed to ensure stronger alignment, consistency and collaboration across operational and financial functions throughout the institution. This integrated approach will help streamline processes, improve service delivery and create a more cohesive experience for faculty, staff and students across both campuses.

Marks hosted a town hall for the newly integrated operations division to share updates, outline near- and long-term priorities and introduce a new leadership structure. This forum provided an opportunity to discuss how teams will work together going forward and how this integration supports the broader vision for the university.

Marks’ leadership over operations will play a critical role in establishing a strong, unified foundation for the future and one that supports growth, operational excellence and efficiency, and the continued success of our evolving university.
