Unlocking New Research Resources: Expanded Library Access for Our Community
April 9, 2026
As part of the ongoing work of the Libraries and Collections Working Group, UT San Antonio Libraries has begun its integration by expanding access to shared resources that benefit our entire community.
Together, UT San Antonio Libraries now supports more than 42,000 students and 3,600 faculty, powered by a team of more than 130 library professionals across five locations, with more than 1.3 million annual visits and over 9 million digital resources accessed each year. Our UT San Antonio Libraries make a huge impact on our community offering hundreds of research databases, delivering nearly 500 instruction sessions annually, engaging nearly 10,000 participants through instruction and workshops and providing thousands of reference interactions ranging from quick questions to in-depth consultations.
Through early integration efforts, more than 30 databases are now available across academic and health campuses at no additional cost, broadening access to resources in areas such as medicine and public health, engineering and computer science, business and economics, social sciences and history, literature, music and philosophy, and architecture and design.
In recognition of National Libraries Week, April 19–25, we invite you to explore these shared databases now available and discover new tools to support your teaching, research and learning.
